New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World!

Bring in the New Year at Disney World and Universal Studios! As we approach 2009, Disney Vacation Club members are getting ready to celebrate New Year’s Eve festivities. If you’re at one of the beautiful Disney Vacation Club resorts in Orlando this holiday season, you probably know that Grinchmas is back this year from December 7th through January 1st ! Why not drop by and meet the Grinch and the little Who’s from Whoville?

Holiday celebrations will be resort wide, and while most festivities occurring throughout the area are Disney related, the Universal CityWalk will have plenty of live entertainment on New Years Eve (for adults over 21 only), including musical performances by Foreigner and the B-52’s with an unlimited buffet and fireworks.

For Disney Vacation Club members who wish to partake in events more family oriented, Disney’s Magic Kingdom will hold Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas parade on the afternoon of New Years Eve, followed by Spectromagic and Fantasy in the Sky. Disney’s MGM Studio’s will have similar festivities, as will Epcot Center. If you’re looking for reasonably priced entertainment and meals, New Year’s Eve at Epcot’s Carnation Gardens looks like a fantastic option!
